I really enjoyed this book. I did not like that the story kept referencing the Lead FMC's weight but i did like that she did not self-sabotage herself. I hope there will be more in the series.

I tend to enjoy fast paced crime thriller’s with a strong female lead, and this one did not disappoint! Rhonda was a complicated and compelling character! I loved how she owned who she was and had such confidence in her skills as a lawyer. Her dialogue with Baby was rapid fire at times and cracked me up. The way she talked circles around other characters was impressive. Getting inside multiple bad guys heads was interesting and added depth to the story. This one was multiple POV and jumped around frequently. At times it felt like certain plot points were developing faster than others. I enjoyed trying to figure out how the two storylines came together and was surprised at the resolution of it all. However, there were some loose ends I would’ve preferred to be wrapped up. Though the ending did set things up for the next book in the series. I’m interested to see where the story goes next.

The sisters seem to get out of trouble too easily, no charges. Nothing. Especially dealing with drugs and cartel money. Plus driving off with a prime suspect in a home break in. Also, why does the author have to keep mentioning Ronda’s weight. What’s that all about?
