A fun and different

Really loved this—has a lot of great elements and spice. Would love to know more about the Ghouls and the people that live with them.

Steamy and Wholesome? Yes, Please!

I wasn’t sure what I was expecting from this novella but it certainly wasn’t a steamy AND wholesome story. I love Mina and her ghoul as a couple. They’re so cute and a power couple.

I’m definitely keeping this author on my watchlist, I’m excited to see more of her work based on this!

I was going back through the photos on my phone and adding books I’d taken pictures of to my Amazon list and one of the photos I came across was the cover of Given to the Ghoul. I don’t remember whether I found it on Twitter or Facebook, but I’m sure I was intrigued by the title and wanted to save it to check out later. It might have taken me a little over a year and a month later before I did, but now that I have, I’m so glad I saved it in the first place. Given to the Ghoul was such an awesome read and I had the best time with it! It gave me that monster goodness with sweetness and steam and a little bit of the found family trope that melted my heart and touched it. I just loved Given to the Ghoul and I would definitely check out Ms. Niccoli again!

This would have made a great novel with some extra detail and emotion. And, I have to say, what's wrong with a little vengeance? I love myself a discriminating monster.

4 stars!

I really enjoyed this short story, it was packed with a wonderful characters in Mina and Garyth. Their story was a treasure to read and I loved our self conscious monster who was so multifaceted in the time we had him. Mina was also a wonder to read about because of strength and willingness for like…ANYTHING. Haha !

The writing of Desirée M. Niccoli was a pure treasure to read, I loved her writing style and damnnnnn can she write spice! I L O V E D one scene in particular that would have had me clutching my pearls if I wore any!

I recommend this book for any monster lover out there. One little thing I will say is that I wished it was a bit longer. I loved this world and these characters so much that I wished I was with them a bit longer. This story really could have been a full length novel because of how rich it was and I’m not just talking about the main characters. I also loved the world and culture of his species and honestly would have loved to explored that more! Buuut, I will say, this has made even MORE excited for Niccoli’s debut novel!
