Ψάχνεις να βρεις πως μπόρεσε να ο δολοφόνος να βγει από αυτό το καταραμένο δωμάτιο και δεν μπορείς, μέχρι να σου φέρει την λύση ο δημοσιογράφος και να σε ξενερώσει αφάνταστα πολύ. Είχε την ανατροπή που όλοι περιμέναμε αλλά όχι ακριβώς αυτή που θέλαμε.
Ήταν πολύ ωραίο βιβλίο, όμορφα γραμμένο και σου διατηρούσε την αγωνία. Απλά εμένα με ξενέρωσε το τέλος και χρειάζεται ένα αρκετά δυνατό τέλος για να αποκτήσει ένα αστυνομικό μυθιστόρημα και το τέταρτο αστεράκι του.

A good mystery.
Every crime committed has a motive. The motive for the crime committed in this book , though good and pretty common, the ending somehow falls short . The reason as to how crime was carried out despite there being no way for escape , was so bland. The writing, however is good. The main character being a journalist is required to keep up the hype of the case. The hype is felt in the book. Guess all french writers are prolific in emoting to the audience

This is the first "locked room" mystery written, and was a fun read. The presentation of the tale is somewhat convoluted and there are a few too many characters to keep straight, however for historical mystery fans and those who enjoy their mysteries as more of a brain teaser than a litany of violence and gore, this is an enjoyable tale.

A great mystery by the genius who wrote Phantom of the Opera. The mystery was well thought out and very intriguing. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys good mysteries in the vein of Agatha Christie (only I liked this one better).
