This book was insanely intense and heavy, but just so so engaging. It was mostly heartbreaking watching what these characters have to go through and what horrid things are done to them. It was an exciting novel, especially since I'm not normally a horror/suspense reader. I will definitely be reading more from this author and am looking forward to his new release this year.
