What a classic take on old school slashers. This book played out like an old school horror flick in my head. I can't say that I was really attached to any of the characters, but I'm the same way with bclass horror flicks.
The villain was a touch of Ed Gein meets Leatherface, which is cool because if I recall, that's where TX Chainsaw inspired from. It's not extreme horror or splatter, but still bloody enough to be fun

4.5! That a fun campy slasher novel! It really read like a movie and there was some awesome gore. I had such a fun time while reading it.

Kidding but really this wasn’t a bad book at all. Gives off Friday the 13th and Texas chainsaw vibes. It was definitely campy but that’s kind of what you get with this genre. I liked that we got a bit of backstory for why Ignacio is so messed up, I also liked that it was very much not a happy ending. Like I thought certain people were main characters and they died so fast. Which I liked!

If you love campy horror movies like Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre then this book is right up your alley!!! The deaths are gruesome and the hits just keep on rolling in with this fast paced story! This was absolutely a great time! Started off at 100MPH and never let up. can’t wait to read the rest of the series 🙌🏼💀
lol...Okay so I totally went into reading this with the mindset of it flowing like a cheesy B Rated Horror Movie. I laughed out loud when in the first chapter it did not disappoint -- the victim runs in lingere, trips and falls. We've all seen that movie before.
There are too many characters for me to actually like any of them. Doesn't matter, most of them get offed anyway.
The story was okay...it was a typical horror movie plot, nothing original. Lots of violence, bones cracking and blood. I don't normally read horror books but the cover got me on this one....oh, and it was free on kindle unlimited.
