Sometimes you get a thing where the one thing is gonna cancel out the other thing, and then you are left with, like, an easier thing, easier to manage. That is not what happens here. It just all adds up or multiplies in to more things and then it's like, is this one of those trick questions? And you go back, but it is not cancelling out, it is not suddenly simplifying into, like, a natural or real integer or whatever. So you just say, OK, I guess this is the thing here. This is what it is. But there are plenty of laughs and regrets and stuff. Also big piles of dirt, and a complicated relationship with Dad.

Was there another collection of poems that, upon reading them, I found myself so enormously fascinated with the imagination of the poet? So charmed by the humor contained in the verse? So captivated by the extraordinary autobiographical confessions?
No.
There was not.
