I actually did not like this book at all, I could barely get through the beginning. The characters were so dull and annoying to me?? I just wasn’t feeling it AT ALL it almost felt like a fever dream
No one does slow burn quite like Mariana Zapata.
I remember reading this and the tension is not like anything I have experienced in any other book.

I loved this book so much and I couldn't put it down. This book had me smiling and giggling. I was getting anxious and embarrassed with and for Vanessa half the time. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Let's get in to it.
Vanessa is a personal assistant to NFL star Aiden Graves. Vanessa is determined to complete her goals and be her own boss. For two years she works from this grump so she can earn enough to start her graphic design business. When Vanessa decides to quit suddenly Aiden wants her back. The man who literally grunts and never says thank you, wants her back! When Aiden suggest an offer that Vanessa would be crazy to refuse they are basically fated to be together.
"My friend. The keeper of my secrets. My moral support. My paperwork."
I enjoyed falling in love with Aiden with Vanessa. Down to the last page I didn't want the story to end. I didn't even care about the spice because the romance was just delicious. I can't believe it has taken me so long to read another one of Zapata's books. I loved the writing style. Everything about the writing felt familiar and relatable. The progression of the book was perfect. Their relationship really bloomed. Aiden didn't know how to be in a relationship but he was doing all the right things. I really fell in love with this book. I'm definitely going to read more from Zapata because if they are as good as this? I need to read all of them
This was my last book of 2021 and it did not disappoint.

Didn’t realize I loved slow burns until this BOOOOOK. Every crumb I screamed and at the end I screamed even louder. Ughhhh i love Aiden. Definition of actions speak louder than words
This book could have been 100 pages shorter if someone had removed all the mentions of him being big, and it would have been much more fun to read.
