So I've now read my first Mariana Zapata book and I absolutely loved it. The slow burn, the fake dating, the tension. Incredible. I am in love.
Probably my favorite marriage of convenience story. Vanessa and Aiden are some of my favorite MCs, and the slow burn between these two was perfection. Highly recommend for a fun read.

This is one of my favorite romance books of all time!
Mariana Zapata is the queen of slow-burn romance. Although I have read many of her books, this is by far my favorite one.
Vanessa is strongly independent and no longer wants to put other's needs before her own. She wants to de her design business and not work as an assistance to Aiden Graves. Aiden is a very grumpy guy who is used to getting his way. They end up getting married to benefit each other's needs (he needs citizenship, she needs to pay off her student loans). Over the months and years living in the same house, they grow closer and a romance develops.
The slow burn also has green themes of standing up for yourself, setting boundaries, protecting those you love, proving to yourself that you can do hard things, etc..
The cast of characters are great as well, especially Zack. I am excited to read the spinoff novel for him.
I recommend this books to anyone who loves to read romance!

Favorite Mariana Zapata book so far, I loved this one
Ok the writing in this book wasn’t that great. The main character was cute, but a bit cheesy and if she mentioned one more time how big Aiden was, I was going to scream. We get it—he’s a big dude. That being said...I loved this book. Zupata is the queen of slow burn romance and I literally read this ginormous book in 2 days. I loved the slow build of their relationship and the trauma they’ve both endured as children was believable, sad, and redemptive for them both. I liked it as much as Kulti and will be reading more from her.
