I really liked it, although the final few chapters were a little slow and Elizabeth was a tad unlikeable towards the end.

An enjoyable audiobook!

DNF - this book really lost me when the main female character was sexually assaulted to further the male main characters storyline / character arc. And then it was never mentioned again or thought about again by the main female character! Rage.

A slow start lost the last star but the second half was wonderful! The banter between the two mains was great, but two special appearances take the cake for me and steal every scene they’re in.

Julia, can we be friends? I don’t like romance novels but yours always capture my heart. I love everything you write and this was no different. The story of Elizabeth and James was perfect and my only wish was that it didn’t end.

The whole conflict is so annoying and unnecessary.

[My heart] beats for you. - [My Lips] breath for you. - And my eyes—they see for you My legs walk for you. My voice speaks for you, and my arms [] they ache to hold you. - I love you. I see your face when I wake up in the morning, and you‘re all I dream about at night. Everything I am, and everything I want to be—“ (p. 359-360)
