This was a fun “fake-dating” ish, high school almost sweethearts, one that got away read. I just got a little bummed by the ending, because women almost never seem to get it all…their dreams “change”. I especially enjoyed the humor of all the moments and the date podcast.

A super cute small-town read, with second chance romance, childhood enemies to lovers. LITERALLY ALL THE BEST TROPES IN ONE.

My heart is warm and my insides are so gooey from all the sweet romance in this story.

In what is starting to become a horrific bookreading habit of mine, I read Peaches and Dreams (the second Juliette Cross book in the Green Valley Heroes series) before I read Parks and Provocation so I met Lola and Jed before I picked up their book. I absolutely loved Peaches and Dreams so much; it was a phenomenal read. Unfortunately, I didn't gel with Lola and Jed quite as much as I did the later heroes. They were cute together, and I loved their super slow burn but didn't feel quite as much chemistry between the two as I had hoped given how intense Peaches and Dreams was. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely enjoyed Parks and Provocation, but I got spoiled by the second book and P&P didn't quite live up to its successor.

"When you find something good and beautiful in this crazy world, you hold onto it with both hands. And don't let go."

Sweet, steamy, and swoony! Parks and Provocation is the perfect stand-alone to kick off the SmartypantsRomance Spring 2022 launch.

Lola and Jed's second-chance at a first-chance has everything romance readers could want with characters both new and familiar in the Green Valley setting Penny Reid Universe fans have come to know and love.

This is my first time reading Juliette Cross, and I don't want to be too spoilery, so I'll just say that I liked how she flipped the typical romance script roles. While I found Lola a little hard to like at first, she did grow on me, and her grand gesture was something really special. And Jed, totally hero swoon-alert!

a steaming serving of hallmark after dark

Though I’m not convinced that the main conflict made much sense or was resolved in a way that was totally satisfactory
