Honestly my biggest complaint is that this is only two volumes, and it's not a much longer series, because I would read the hell out of that

This whole crew continues to warm your heart and steal bits of your soul...you can't tell me otherwise.

Hilarious, cute, and filled with the fluffiest of relationships. Really hope that the series continues <3

I don't know why but this just didn't quite have the same charm as the first four comics, for me. I'm generally not a fan of the "group of boys meets a group of girls who are identical to them, but girls" trope so I didn't like that too much - I would have preferred to see a cast of equally vibrant and original characters for the girls' school stage crew, instead of comically similar designs.

I still enjoyed watching all of the interpersonal relationships between the characters - Jory and Hunter are sweet as ever, Beckett's interactions with the girls from his old school are interesting and well-written, I liked learning more about the faculty stage manager's past, and of course it's just nice to see Jory find a home with the crew in general. I think this arc would've had more payoff if the "Polaroid" thing was dragged out just a couple comics longer (maybe make it an eight-comic arc instead of just four?) but I understand that indie comics frequently don't know how long they're going to run, so they might not have had a choice in deciding how long the arc went.

An exciting sequel and finale to the story of St. Geniuses' backstage crew! The Backstagers are forced to confront the mysterious, more sinister darkness lurking within the realm of the magical backstage, and in doing so unlock secrets of the past once buried away. Action! Peril! Touching moments! A heckuva lot of QUILTBAG romance! Highly recommend for a feel-good read.
