I thought this volume was even better than the first. I’d maybe have liked to have more time with some characters but overall it was great.

This second book in the series was just as fun as the first! I really enjoy the characters still, and getting to see the girl-counterparts to the all-male backstage main crew was great. This volume wraps up the series nicely, but I'm happy that there's a 3rd book with shorts so that I don't have to say goodbye to the characters just yet.

Note: this series is probably technically a YA series, since it is set at a high school. However, it is also on the cusp of being a Middle Grade series, since there are freshmen involved and the whole tone of the series is very clean. I see this series as properly being something in between the two.

I didn’t think the first volume could get any better BUT VOLUME TWO WAS AMAZING!!

The plot! SO DAMN GOOD! We actually got a few answers to mysteries in vol. 1. It was awesome!

JORY AND HUNTER ARE TRYING TO KILL ME WITH CUTENESS!!!!!!

I didn’t think this series would get to me the way it does but it’s so damn beautiful and lovely and I just love it and the characters so much!!

Part two finds the backstage crew ready to enjoy a free week of game playing and goofing off before the next play. Before the most epic game of RISK (no one ever-this risk game was too short) of all time can start the crew hears a cry for help from the unsafe zone. With their fearless stage managers off viewing colleges the crew takes it upon themselves to be heroes.

The tunnels are backwards. Even for the abnormal space under their school, things are wrong.

The changes between the 1st issue and 2nd are great and I like how they followed up with the Polaroid character. The end was particularly poignant! Excited to see what they do next!

Mad Bill and Ted vibes at the end there
