Inquisitor's Guild #3 (According to Goodreads).  A SFINC Novella.
My initial rating for this book was 4 stars. I thought it was a good story that was told well enough. The characters were hard to grasp at times but not too much so that it was distracting and hard to get through. It felt like the pacing was a bit long at times, but again not too bad.
CAWPILE Breakdown:
Characters: 7 - Overall, I though the characters were written well enough. Although due to the changing storyline, they were hard to grasp at times.
Atmosphere/Setting: 8 - For the most part, I was able to imagine the setting and feel the atmosphere. (Even when the feeling changed in the scene loyalities may have changed.)
Writing Style: 7 - Dobson's writing style was easy to read and follow. Although at times, I needed a little extra encouragement to pick it up among all my other reads.
Plot: 7 - The plot was simple yet complicated. Like Dobson's characters, the plot changed as the characters did. Or at least that's the way it seemed to me. As I wrote, simple yet complex.
Intrigue: 8.5 - With all the moving parts, the intrigue was always there for me and sometimes kept me reading when other obligations (reading or otherwise) may have been trying to distract me.
Logic/Relationships: 5.5 - When the final plot was revealed, the logic started showing itself and made more sense. I felt like the relationships oculd have been done a bit better with the changing plots and its implications - did characters trust too easily and quickly?
Enjoyment: 7 - Overall, I enjoyed this novella.
CAWPILE Tota: 50\7 = 7.14 = 4 stars.
