This book was literally pointless. Should’ve made the first book a duel POV. The only part I liked was the epilogue

I loved this book for several reasons...

1) You can't help but love and adore the characters who are so blissfully in love that you want to hurl, but you can't. You just sit there in awe and want more than anything to have a love like this in your own life, in your children's lives, and in your grandchildren's lives. It's amazingly beautiful to watch.

2) It was short, and I've had a super tough time reading. This book brought me back into the land of words that I have truly and deeply missed. :) Thanks, Colleen Hoover for bringing a passion back to me.

3) Since it had been a while since I read books 1 and 2, I was worried. Would I be able to remember the details? The way that this story is written with a look back into books 1 and 2 was incredible. It not only sort of "retold" the storyline to people like me who had forgotten details, but did so through Will's eyes, and it made it even more impossible to not love him. It was an incredible walk down memory lane and beautifully intermixed past experiences with present ones.

Loved it, and think the 3rd book was a good one to finish the series on. The epilogue was a FANTASTIC conclusion.

This Girl - Colleen Hoover ⭐⭐⭐

📚 I recommend this if you love emotional, fast-paced stories about the complexities of love, relationships

Genre: Young adult romance
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Series or Standalone: Series
Tropes & Themes: forbidden love, close proximity, relationship, romance, emotional

So I accidentally read this one after reading 'Slammed' as I picked the wrong book off my bookshelf 🤦🏻‍♀️ but it still made sense! So now I'm not sure if I need to read the second! I didn't like this one as much as the first in the series! It follows the perspective of Will, and essentially tells the same story as the first book just from his perspective. I feel like this could have been interweaved into the first book and just made one longer book instead of two separate ones! Loved the epilogue!!!

It was so interesting to see the whole story line from his perspective with his feelings and memories.

I absolutely love most of Colleen Hoover’s books, but this one just seemed pointless to me. I enjoyed the first two in the series, but I don’t feel like there was a need for the third in a series to be a retelling of the first

This Girl is the third and final instalment in the Slammed series. The two main characters, Lake and Will (swoon!), are reminiscing about their relationship, while offering the reader some new insights in their present day.

Books told from alternate POVs generally don't work that well due to the high level of repetition. However, Hoover really does work her magic and makes this a great story for fans of the series.

If you aren't a BIG Hoover fan, you could read book 1 and 2 in this series, and leave it as a duology. BUT if you love Hoover like I do, you'll want to read this book. I have rated this the lowest of the three, but I still really enjoyed this read.

It was really interesting getting Will's point of view. Colleen Hoover did a good job of not making the book too repetitive. We got new scenes and a different look at some of the important scenes.
