This is a tough review…the last time I read this book was over 10 years ago, and I have read the whole series about 7 times now. But now that I’m older, I can very clearly see how toxic this relationship was from beginning to end. Not to mention, the writing is way less mature than I remember. I did enjoy the second half of the book a lot, when it became more fast paced and action-y.

I still appreciate this book for the fandom it created, and I’m glad I was able ot dive back in.

Still the best of the series. Even knowing what I know now and how I could pretty much write a treatise on why these books aren't good for teenage girls. This was a simple story and so engaging. I miss when it was exciting to find someone else who'd read it.

Review for when I re-read it in 2015:

It has been 9, almost 10 years since I last read this book, it is time to do a re-read. I won't rate it or review it. I haven't had the best of experiences when I say I read/would want to re-read Twilight (and this goes for both sides, the lovers and the haters).
