Beautiful, heartwarming, funny, and full of romance without the cheese. This had me hooked, right from the start. I loved how Joel and Callie’s relationship blooms following those awkward first encounters. I love how Miller is able to write such damaged characters without them coming across as unlikeable. Joel and Callie bring out the best in each other, even when they’re apart and it’s just beautiful. I won’t spoil it for you, but the ending really hit me hard; so emotional - you’ll definitely need tissues. One of my favourite reads of this year and a fabulous debut. I’ll be looking forward to more books by Miller. No pressure!

I was soo looking forward to read this book, but it dissapointed me. The story was grate and at the end I had tears in my eyes. BUT. I couldn’t match with the author’s writing style. I really had it difficult to get through this book. That’s actually something that hasn’t happened to me before (in romance). BUT. Now that I’ve read the whole thing, I am happy I read it. Because the sad parts did tear me apart a little. So for my feeling, the author could really bring me with the story in the sad parts, but (sorry) not in de the romance part. I just wasn’t with the romance this time.

My initial impressions of this book was that it was going to be a suspenseful thriller. And yet it contained some suspenseful moments, but it also contained a heart-breaking, romantic and emotional story that I did not expect. The premise behind Joel's visions was not what I thought they would be, and I was so glad I read to the end to see where this story would go. Callie and Joel were meant to connect for several reasons, and they may not be the reasons they both wanted or for then endings that they had, but their connection was meant to be. Joel and Callie both needed a reason to start living their lives again, and it is the heartbreaking sacrifices of this story that made it worth the read. I also did not expect the level of romance that was in this book, as it was like no other I had read. There was such a depth to Joel's love for Callie, and there was such a realness to their relationship; the awkwardness was so real!. And I think that is where it made for such a suspenseful and emotional read. For someone who was so haunted by the future, Joel lived his life as a realist, and Callie balanced this well in their relationship.

Hands down one of the best books I’ve read this year. From the moment I started I couldn’t put it down.
Joel and Callie where do I begin. Joel sworn off relationships and keeping it casual, his life has been turned upside down and he’s not eager to get his old life back. Callie is grieving her best friend, trying to life her life and keep her memory alive while trying to find herself again. She becomes complacent and knows she’s stuck in a rut.
Fate bring them together and they meet at the cafe and Joel continues coming in every day until he has the guts to ask her out. Joel flights every part of his body trying to stop the inevitable, but they fall hard and fast!
Life is perfect, they fit like to puzzle pieces and make each other so incredibly happy. But Joel has a secret, he dreams about the people he loves and those dream continue to come true. He can’t tell Callie he loves her or he’ll start dreaming of her. Joel confides in Callie and tells her about his gift. In the beginning she sees this as a blessing.
However quite quickly she realises it’s torturous. He knows that true loves defies all odds and heartbreakingly he lets her go so she can live a happy life without the worry and fear of what he knows.
You feel it coming and you don’t want it to end, but it has too and I ugly cried. Proper sobbed, it was simply beautiful.

My heart is in pieces. The choices these characters made, though seemed right, felt difficult to stomach. I kept hoping until the end for a twist or something that could change the outcome, the finale that was foreseen, out of some stubborn hope. I am a hopeless romantic, maybe this is why. I gave it 3 stars because of that, of the bitter-sweet ending that steered more toward bitter than sweet. A good book, worth reading.

This is definitely not your average run of the mill chicklit book. This is big romance mixed with a little bit of the unexplainable.
I loved reading Joel and Callie’s story; it was both beautiful and heartbreaking and whilst I had an idea of how the book might end as it progressed, it still kept me guessing right up until it broke my heart.
I’m super interested to see where the story will go in the sequel!
