Another excellent book in the EHS series. Again there is a key emphasis on knowing your family roots and what you bring from that, slowing down, keeping Jesus central and being emotionally mature.
Whilst the emphasis is fine from my point of view there are many questions it raises about family influence, conversion, spiritual formation history. Despite that the books is worth reading and reading in conjunction with the other EHS material.

Out of the 27 non-fiction books I’ve read in 2017, this one was the most personally challenging and rewarding. Countering a lot of the common mistakes made by the Christian church, Peter Scazzero confronts a source of its major weakness: emotional maturity. I was convicted, humbled, and strangely elated by this book. I highly recommend it.

This book has a lot of good things to say that many people need to hear. It's a great pointer in the right direction. My only issue is that it doesn't go very deep into any single idea, but stays pretty much on the surface. That's fine for a good introduction, but I was hoping for a little something more to sink my teeth into.
