I highly recommend this course, but if you had to choose just one of the three, the book is the most helpful. Going through the book, workbook, and devotional gets a bit repetitive as Pete uses the same examples in all three. There's a lot to process and it can be overwhelming to consider real-life implementation, but I think if you go about it the right way and add one step at a time rather than trying to change everything at once, it could be doable!

A beginner’s guide to emotional health mixed with contemplative spirituality. And calling it a beginner’s guide is no insult - most of us are absolute beginners when it comes to understanding ourselves, being aware of our feelings, seeing how our history affects our present, communicating our frustration, making and keeping healthy boundaries, loving people without trying to control and change them, etc…I include myself in many of these categories, and this applies to most Western Christians - leaders very much included. This is a very helpful guide to some practices that can lead to emotional health, given with Scazzero’s own testimony.

Love the thesis and concept underlying the book. Liked the chapter focuses (Sabbath was an intriguing chapter). Did not agree with some arguments made from Scripture...but overall a good read, especially for those in church leadership.

Similar to emotional foundations with the vineyard church but less in depth of the practical aspects. Basically a review of that course with more theology and more intellectual. Will continue to think on it.
