Badly written, poorly edited. Just not good at all. But I will say that John’s character is pretty well done. I feel like I know people like him

There was some really brilliant writing in this book. 4 stars because it got a little slow at the end.

this was such a hard read.
I enjoyed the book, enjoying the writing style and the pace. read it in 12 hours in one sitting. so I have zero issues with the Writer.

but...

I totally understand that some women find themselves in relationships like the one(s) described in this book. however this was the worst, reading a Woman totally undermining herself for some god awful manchild.

I guess this is a take on the narcissistic man and I think most of us can relate to some of the described scenes during the relationship.
I was left with somewhat guilty feeling of wicthimblaming the main character.

why TF is she with this guy!? why can she not see the truth? why!

and I guess this is the story of too many people out there. feeling ashamed of them selves when they get abandoned by the person they didn't even like that much.

I still don't understand why marriage as an institution is more important than happiness or why the main character was so afraid to leave. it frustrated me so much. but as I mentioned, I did finish and I did enjoy it.
So maybe it's just me. I cannot relate to the story, but that's not necessary I think.

I suspect this book will be one I randomly think about from time to time.
