Such a perfect match between Gaiman's heartfelt prose and Doran's intricate and expressive watercolours. An adaptation that really elevates its source material and made me smile.

BBC NI did a production of this with Glenda Jackson reading it and Kit Harrington as Galahad and I borrowed it from the library!

It was cute! I don't have anything else to say about it, really, other than I thought it was a fun, light story that I enjoyed listening along to. It does annoy me that this is listed as one page in length, but then again...it was only like a forty minute listen and there was a small introduction by Gaiman himself, which was fun to listen to. HONESTLY...perfect length to wash my make up brushes to.

It’s a NICE story.
Where the completely commonplace meets the wondrous.

PLUS having the Great LeVar Burton reading it is just pure takes-me-back-to-elementary-school-days #ReadingRainbow Amazing.

The graphic adaptation added depth to the story and I really enjoyed all the background Arthurian elements in each panel.

I enjoyed this one. I'm reading Smoke and Mirrors - I didn't think It would be right to rate them all in a lump. I can't say this was amazing. I am hoping that the other short stories are better.

This one I'd read before in the story collection, but happened across it again today on Levar Burton Reads. It's a delightfully silly romp that begins when the elderly MC finds the holy grail at a thrift store. Naturally, a knight soon shows up on a quest to find it.

Recommended, especially if you just need something light and silly to lift your mood.
