Reading 2023
Book 130: Chivalry by Neil Gaiman

This GN is one I have checked out of the library several times and had not read. Finally got to it this time, hurrah.

Synopsis: An elderly British widow buys what turns out to be the Holy Grail from a second-hand shop setting her off on an epic visit from an ancient knight who lures her with ancient relics in hope for winning the cup.

Review: This book was cute and sweet. Nothing to blow my socks or anything. Rating 3.5⭐️.

I think I may be less of a Neil Gaiman fan than I thought? the protagonist was more annoying than funny to me and the art was at times beautiful and at times really weird so meh? I’m always a fan of arthurian legends and retelling so that was a nice touch at least

Pure Gaiman! I rarely read Graphic Novels, but as I read this, I could almost hear Neil narrating the story.  Mrs Whitaker is just lovely.  The blurb uses the word "charming" to describe this book, and I have to agree. Gorgeous escapism.
