This book is an absolute delight of a warm hug. It is peace and found family and caring and goodness. The characters are introduced one by one, and each is unique and multifaceted and lovely. I love how accepting the atmosphere is, including of a semi-verbal character, which is representation I love to see and rarely do.

If you're looking for excitement and action and twists you don't see coming, this is not the book for you. But if you're someone like me who's ever wished you could read an entire book about the happily ever after, then you'll love this.

This book was far more enjoyable than I was expecting it to be, and is one that I can see myself revisiting in the future.

It's a slow burn queer romance between a demon and a book-lover, with coffee playing an important role in the story. There are other things I could add that made me think of Good Omens, but I think they would spoil it.

All the main characters are loveable, which is something I don't normally experience. I especially enjoyed reading about the anthropomorphic rat, and the cat, and can see myself naming future pets after after them.

This would be a 5 star read, if not for the repetitiveness of the way some of the chapters end.

Overall, this was an enjoyable book, and works well for a brief break from other books that tackle more challenging subjects.

Baldree’s debut novel is fun and cozy, loveable characters paired with a low-stakes adventure story. Great for fans of D&D or cozy games like Stardew Valley.

A very light and fun read, with only a few mildly tense parts at the climax. The characters are unique, the atmosphere is cozy, and the romance is sweet and endearing. Overall, a relaxing book that I'd recommend as a comfort read.

Lives up to its reputation.

The romance is incredibly organic, zero-drama, natural friends to lovers. It’s an important part of the story but takes up almost no airtime.

A few F bombs but otherwise very PG.

Audiobook is incredibly well done.

Grab a latte and a cinnamon roll and curl up with this cozy story of an ogre making a new life for herself by opening a cafe and introducing people to coffee. The descriptions of coffee and food items are so scrumptious, you'll definitely want something sweet on hand! The character development is so fun to watch; the respect and care the main characters have for each other throughout the book is inspiring. I love the message in this story- having a good community is good fortune and more valuable than gold. This is definitely a cozy read with a touch of slow burn romance (no spice).
