Twelve dinging doorbells is the new holiday classic I wish I had as a child, and will be so excited to read to my own children one day! It perfectly and beautifully captures the black holiday experience, and having an all-purpose holiday book that centers our experiences is so special. I love the references to so many things I hold near and dear — baked macaroni and cheese (which is so fun to sing out loud!), all the Aunties, Greek life and bougie cousins (which, I absolutely was hahaha!) 10/10 would recommended for every black family and for those looking to appreciate the culture.

Set to the tune, The Twelve Days of Christmas, this modern rendition of the classic song is full of life, love, and family. I loved the 2D illustrations and the love on every page. There is also a sense of Where's Waldo as the story goes on and more guests arrive, so see if you can still find all of the characters being described. Great for Christmas but honestly any holiday involving a family gathering.

Love this new rendition of the "12 Days of Christmas!" It was modern, relatable, and could be used for any holiday (as the title suggests).

A soulful spin on the popular Twelve Days of Christmas song....but complete with chitlins, mac and cheese, and a sweet potato pie just for me!
