The entire time I was reading this, my mind was running through all the storytime applications of this book. You could build a whole library program around it!

Ms. Benitez, the librarian at a library overlooking a tropical bay, has inadvertently attracted a ship full of pirates into the library with a flyer advertising the "treasure" you could find at the library. Using the Dewey Decimal System, the pirates explore the different areas of the library and fall in love with reading. Now that they have library cards, they can get free treasure any time they want.

I am so looking forward to reading this out loud to a group of kids.

I received this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book is a fun way to introduce children to how the library works, using pirates on a search for treasures. I really liked this one!

A group of pirates go hunting for Dewey’s treasures. They just happen to be in the library and available to everyone. This book is a tad long, but it was fun. I. Think it could be better if they had done more descriptions of the Dewey system that plays heavy in the treasure map.
