considering i didn't care for ‘Beach Read’ at all, i’m surprised at how much i liked this!!! now i understand why Emily Henry is so many people’s favorite romance author. If you know anything about me, you know i’m a slut for a sibling relationship—especially sisters, so the fact that they were such a big part of this book is maybe why i loved it so much. Because honestly if this was a love story purely about them, i’d enjoy it just as much.
that’s not to say i didn’t like Charlie and Nora, because i did. Charlie is a very good male lead.
This was a really good book, i would recommended it to romance readers and non-romance readers alike, but as i fall under the ‘non-romance reader’ category, it wasn’t something i LOVED or was obsessed with.
as i said in my ‘Beach Read’ review, i’m definitely more into watching romcoms than reading them.
But as i said this was REALLY good, if you’re looking for a romance book full of likable characters and where the leads have crazy chemistry, this is for you!! a fun summer read!

The sister drove me a little nuts and their dynamic was one of my main gripes throughout the book but I’m glad they had a realistic sense of reconciliation/growth at the end!

awww i loved this book. emily henry does such an amazing job of creating deep, complex characters that have real struggles and real relationships, and that definitely comes through in this book. i love the main character nora and how she is a self-proclaimed “villain”. i think it’s such an interesting take and i loved how it developed throughout the story as we learn more about her and why she is the way she is. also i loved that she was a successful businesswoman, i feel like i don’t read about a lot of those. and charlie is amazing too. i was smiling practically every page in this book. the romance was just so cute and sweet. and their banter is so fun. however, my favorite relationship was actually the one between nora and her sister libby. being an older sister myself, i just really loved it, but i think it’s relatable to everyone with a sibling.

I loved this story. was such a nice and calming read. Loved the better between the characters. Set in d small town with the most charming bookstore.
It was a fantastic summer read. would highly recommend to the booklover contemporary romance reader.
