it's not a baddddd book it's just a im super bored and want a short read book.

First of all I have to say Cinder & Ella is not quite a modern retelling of Cinderella because even though Ella has a prince charming she isn't shallow. she doesn't think the world is going to be perfect once she marries her prince a little better maybe, but not perfect.
Cinder is a guy Ella knows on the internet he tells her he is oh so handsome and a playboy-I don't know why anyone would want to share this information-they become friends because they share the same passion for a certain book.I like that both the boy and the girl are fans.
the conversations between them are witty, sassy and so funny.they made this book very enjoyable for me,I was willing to let the holes in the plot slide.
what I like best about this book is the mutual passion for reading they both have. I really love a story when the characters are nerds.
I don't like the drama in Ella's family-I totally understand the situation is pretty difficult but all the fighting and the therapy sessions gets boring- and the mood swings everyone in this book seems to have.Ana is the biggest bitch,i couldn't stand her. her dad is weird I couldn't understand him most of the time..the ending could use a little editing .
all in all, I like the book and I think its a sweet read.it was perfect for my spring break.

Pretty heavy and wildly unrealistic, but I felt for Ella.

I accidentally learned about this book when I got a longer quotation from it at my exam for entering University. I promised back then that if I get in, I would read it. And I did get in so here I am after reading one of the best modern fairytales of ALL TIMES.

Oh man, I love this book sooo much. The plot was so sad and so real. The author really grasped the idea of making a fairytale a real life story. The accident, the scars, the mental issues, the bullying, the bad sides of fame... it was all there in this emotional rollercoaster of a book.
I loved the plot, it wasn't too cheesy and it wasn't so close to Cinderella's tale as I thought it would be. In fact, I really had to think about the similarities between the too.

Our heroine is just one of the best characters I have ever read about. The problems she's had in her life were so painful and I had so much empathy for her that when she was hurting, I was hurting too... very deeply. I loved how she put up with bullying, and I definitely fell for her slowly growing support team. I loved all the other characters, especially Vivian, Rob and our Prince Charming, Brian. He was everything a girl could wish for (maybe even too much?) but the author proved to us that the looks really don't matter if you shine from within.

So, all I have to say is: Read this book. Enjoy it. And never stop believing in fairytales. :)

Kelly Oram has a way of writing very fun and laugh out loud books with a serious undertone. I didn't expect much going into this, except for a fun light read, but I got so much more than I bargained for! Ella's back story was very touching and I really admire her for making the choices she did. The way her relationship with Cinder developed was swoon worthy and felt like a dream. This was a retelling with a smart twist and a very sweet story overall.

Reread this one. So 4.5.

Oh MY GOD! I'm not into a lot of contemporaries and I'll admit it isn't my forte but THIS BOOK. Oh my heaves! I was reading this on my phone while in the car and I was legit crying! I had tears in my eyes throughout the book. It's SO well written and SO beautifully composed, I had to take a break and swoon over Brian! And there is nothing more appealing to me than a character I can relate to. I think all of us can relate to Ella in one way or another.
Secondly, I loved Ella's relationship with her father. I loved how imperfect and broken and estranged it was. It was realistic and it made me tear up too. Most people would say he was a jerk but to me he was a person who was confused and didn't know what to do. I'll admit he made his fair share of mistakes but he didn't mean to hurt Ella and he's been trying to mend things right? So let's give him a break.
thirdly, AHHH both cinder and Ella are bookworms and this factor made me love the book EVEN MORE!
I can't wait to have the physical copy of this book in my hands! it's definitely a 5 star read and I'm ecstatic to read the sequel!
