I devoured this book. Was it a literary masterpiece? No. But was it addictive? YES. Ruby and James were fantastic. I hate the way this ended, though. I know I am in for some groveling in the next book, and I can’t wait. I finished this book and immediately watched the show, which I also devoured. I highly recommend checking this out if you enjoyed shows/books like Gossip Girl.

через те, що я вже дивилась серіал і знала сюжет, було досить складно змусити себе читати далі. стиль написання авторки це 70% описів і 30% діалогу, тому книга йшла повільно.

A classic well-done rivals to lovers.
Reading the English version after watching the show. The show follows the book almost to a T. It was nice reliving some of the scenes in the show while reading the book.

The longing and yearning in this book are to die for. I am rooting for these two. They bring the best out of each other, and I cannot wait for the next books to come out in English.

Since this book is left on a little bit of a cliffhanger, I am curious to see how this story unfolds. I know there are two more books in this series. I just hope we don't get a make-up breakup plot again or miscommunication. These characters have potential, I don't want the plot to ruin that.

It took me a few tries, but I ended up enjoying the Maxton Hall tv show. It's that angsty, slightly unhinged YA genre that can be addictive if you're in the right mood. The book had those same qualities and it finally broke me out of my reading rut. I enjoyed reading it and am looking forward to the next one in the series.

I'm also impressed with how faithful the show kept to the book, though there were a few changes here and there.

The Maxton Hall adaptation is very faithful to the book, but that ending?!?!
