I wanted a bit more “life” and a few less recipes, but overall an enjoyable memoir. Recommended if you enjoy cooking or food, and the surrounding culture. Especially enjoyed the pieces that relate to Vancouver. Excellent narration.

I may be a bit biased because I work as a chef professionally, but I absolutely adored this book. Stanley came across so likeable and I left this book feeling like I had a good understanding of who he is. I really related to his love of food and I appreciated his inclusion of food based memories and family recipes. This is, in my opinion, what a good memoir should be.

Taste is Stanley Tucci's memoir but also his love letter to all things food and cooking.
Tucci submerges us into his world through sharing all of his many varied past experiences and memories. He welcomes us into his family's life, shares recipes and generally gushes about food through out. The recipes are authentic and are so worth the extra effort that some entail. Trust me it's worth the trip to @thevillagebutcher for guanciale for the carbonara!
I listened to this on audiobook and absolutely loved how personal it felt, it was almost like Tucci was reading sections out of his own diary and allowing us to have a quick elusive glance at his world and the wonders within it. His obsession and love for food, good living and of course a suitable accompanying beverage flows through every word.
A must for food and travel fans and especially those who are already fans of the great Stanley Tucci.

Great insight into Stanley's life. His journey through life as defined by food was so fascinating. I already liked him previously, I mean Devil Wears Prada, but to know him more as a person, his trials and accomplishments was unputdownable. It also adds so much to the book when the author narrates the audio of it. I couldn't imagine this being read by anyone else. Also, this book and all of the recipes were mouth watering!

A heartfelt and vibrant novel that's more a biography through food than anything else.
I thoroughly enjoyed this read. I took it slowly and loved the insight into Tucci's life and history with Italian cuisine. I also really enjoyed reading about his personal life and all the recipes he's refined over the years. All in all a wonderful biography!

Surprisingly funny, Stanley Tucci single-handedly makes me want to try more Italian food (& just more food in general.) In addition, he encourages me to want to travel because he talks about so many diverse cities and eats. Thankfully he added a handful of receipes that I want to dive into. The way he speaks about his career and his life in a humbling way makes me appreciate him in a way I didn’t think I would. It’s a read that will take you away, in brief, from a lot of the chaos the world has us under and hearing Stanley made this memoir even better.
