I listened to this on a road trip where I was sick and felt horrible. Tucci's book was an absolute delight to my crappy mood. He talked about his childhood and his Italian family's love of food. He talks about his many food experiences throughout his life and even includes recipes! Towards the end he also discusses a dark time in his life that affected his relationship with food. It was such a joy to listen to and I fell in love with him. I wish he would adopt me or at least invite me for dinner. Highly recommend!

There is one part where he talks about cooking a pig with his wife and they have to chop its head off. The animal is already dead but I wanted to mention in case someone is sensitive to that.

So charming. I had no idea that Stanley recently overcame a bout of mouth cancer. I can't imagine how terrifying that was for the omnivorous actor. Read the audiobook, but not on an empty stomach.
