A little on the slower side for my taste but still an enjoyable read.

I had to stop because it's making me a little too uncomfortable how close it seems to echo Fullmetal Alchemist, the Riza and Roy pairing in specific when it comes to the protagonists of this book.

This was such a slow burn book! I went into the book not really knowing what to expect, and came out with characters overcoming forces that were against them.

Reading Margaret’s thoughts and feelings of being shackled to her mom because she is her mom was so sad to read. You know that the relationship is not healthy at all, yet she clings to the blood relation and is willing to risk herself for her mom. Seeing Wes open up Pandora’s box was satisfying and allowed Margaret to be selfish for once in her life.

I do have a few questions that were answered in the end, but I did find satisfaction so it’s okay! Really good read :)
