My favorite book "The Favorites" is loosely based off of this so I had high expectations, and unfortunately, these didn't meet them. I found the pacing slow and the writing hard to read, however it was beautifully written. I liked the themes of love, obsession, grief, heartbreak, how 2 souls can be bound after death. I found it interesting that the first half of the book was about Heath/Catherine/Edgar and the second half was following the aftermath of that fallout and the impact on their children. Loved how messy and chaotic it was.
Overall, didn't love Heath's character or the writing.

Not a romance, rather a subjective love story.
Alice Hoffman once said "read Wuthering Heights when you're 18 and you think Heathcliff is a romantic hero; when you're 30, he's a monster; at 50 you see he's just human,". So it’s interesting to see all three during Heathcliff’s development throughout the book. I did find myself tiresome throughout some parts of the book but overall enjoyed Wuthering Heights. :)

Definitely not what I was expecting, but I really enjoyed it.
Would have given 3.5. Not as good as I’d hoped, but defo picks up some really good momentum as it goes on.

This book takes revenge story to an entirely different level.
Loved the setting of the moors, it often matched the tone of the book. Sometimes dark and unsettling, other times vibrant and alive.
The characters are truly fascinating. They can be unlikeable, but I do love books with unlikeable characters, especially when they are as deep and complex as many are in Wuthering Heights.
It feels like a book I'm going to be thinking about for a long time.

I don’t care for Nelly. (lost my copy for a month btw)
Not really sure what to say about this one. I really enjoyed it but also fully under why people wouldn’t. I think the way the story was told as story from Ellen made it feel a mix between fast and slow paced. It was satisfying seeing her story reach present time.
Una historia que me ha dejado de piedra. Sin duda maravilla

I believe there are a lot of different opinions on this book. Sone say it is great some say it is one of the worst books. In my opinion it was neither. While I have to say that I enjoyed the narrative or rather the way this story was told in general I must say the story line itsself was not as captivating as I hoped it to be. As already mentioned the way the whole story was uncovered bit after bit, starting with the very beginnings 20 years before this book is actually set I thought it to be quite fascinating. Of course the main aspect of this book was romance but there was so much more to it. I must say the characters however were almost all rather unlikable. Overall it was still a good book and i enjoyed the read but I must admit that it certainly is not something for everyone.
