This was such a fun read! It contains some of my favorite rom-com tropes of all time, best friends to enemies to lovers with forced proximity.
I found the story heartwarming and I adored both characters! It has a little bit of everything, it's sweet, funny and cute.

ARC kindly provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I just couldn't get behind the writing style and tone combination. Felt more young than the protagonist's age (as a college student)

A cute little story, but the writing style wasn't for me and aspects of the magic system at times felt a bit slapdash and "as the plot demands".

i received "the charmed list" by julie abe in a once upon a book club bookish box promotion! most certainly in the 1.5-1.6 star rating range for me. i'm arguably a bit biased because this a smidge outside of my age group, which usually doesn't have an effect on my reading experience, but this time, i think it did. there was no chemistry between the two main characters and the most affection displayed was a quick kiss on the very last page. i likely would've enjoyed this more had i read it when i was 11-13, but "the charmed list" simply did not do it for me :(

I found the story to be ok. I wish there was more of the characters. The actual setting was fun though.

This book bored me☹️because it had an interesting concept around magic, i thought it would be an amazing read.

A lot of my issues with this one is that it felt a bit one-sided. Sometimes, that can work to a book's advantage, but in this ones case, it did not because it felt more like teenage angst to an extra degree than anything. That being said, it does offer the why behind the bitterness in a way that keeps you wanting more.

I received an ecopy of this book through Netgalley; however, my opinions are my own.
