Adversaries to Lovers
Queer awakening and exploration

Jacobs and Beck are the sole participants in the most unfortunately named competition, all to become their hockey team's captain.

Jacobs has 100% decided he was straight and has deeply repressed his attraction to bros.
While Beck seems to just go with what feels good and doesn't think too deeply about that fact that he's suddenly very into touching, kissing and tasting his teammate...that he hates.

Ultimately a game of "gay chicken" back fires in the best way.

As all the Sadenverse books are, this was a fully enjoyable read with good characters that you fall for.

Some of the hottest sex of this series, but way more cliches and stereotypes.

Hockey romance + enemies to lovers? Be still my beating heart! Face Offs & Cheap Shots is the second book in the CU Hockey series by Eden Finley and Saxon James, and it was SPICY!
Jacobs and Beck do not get along, and they couldn't be more opposite. Jacobs is hard working, spends his free time studying, and wants to get a stable job to support his family's farm.
Beck is immature, impulsive, and seems to float around without a care in the world, partly due to his privileged and rich upbringing.
When the hockey team has the genius idea to have them compete in a series of challenges for the coveted captain spot, tensions soon rise. (Sexy tensions!!) Beck is having a great time getting under Jacobs skin and teasing him, but they hardly get along, there couldn't be anything more..could there?
This was such a sweet light hearted read, the perfect cure for a book slump, or to read after a heavier story. I loved the chemistry, and don't even get me started on the bedroom scenes! *fans self*
I have the entire series on my tbr, I can't wait to read the rest!
For fans of sports romance, enemies to lovers, or just overall a great read, I highly recommend this! (Also it's on kindle unlimited so bonus!)
