adventurous mysterious

I have to ask, are all the clues there if you notice them in Agatha's books? Admittedly there were days when I listened that I don't think I was as focused as I was the last couple of days as I finished the book and this is only book 2 for me.

Even though Poirot is the world's  greatest detective, it seems like you'd have to suspend disbelief that Poirot would be able to guess or know each of the passengers past and their connection like he did. I loved it and I'm loving the mystery genre and I love her books. I can see why this is a classic and that she is considering one of the best authors of all time.

While I definitely enjoyed the story and was very surprised by the ending, I think my favorite part was the reader of the audiobook I listened to. (Just looked him up and learned it was Dan Stevens from Downton Abbey.) Anyway, he did an AMAZING job! There were so many different accents and he did them all so well. It was such a pleasure to listen to!

Slight but fun. There's no action here, just a series of interviews with fellow train passengers. Poirot is a nicely executed character who manages to solve spectacular mysteries (perhaps a bit too spectacular?) without seeming like a Gary Stu type
