I almost threw my Kindle at SEVERAL points near the end of this book! I was yelling "eff this book, eff this series, eff this author!" Best book in the series so far, can't wait to see what other torture Terry Goodkind could put me through!
A decent story line that kept the pages turning. Nothing spectacular or terribly original, but it was a good solid read. The series did not really seem to move forward that much in this book, but I liked the story.

Ce tome était particulièrement violent envers les femmes et je n’ai pas aimé ça. Je sais qu’il a été en 97, mais les préjugés sur les travailleuses du sexe, c’est non.

1. FUCK Drefan Rahl 2. Best Wizard's Rule so far. Love this book.
Time to give up on this series. The first 3 books were good enough to keep me reading but they have deteriorated and are now starting to show a lack of imagination. From what I hear, the rest of the series continues the downward decline. Just too many good fantasy books out there to suffer through more.
This book started off strong, but the second half dragged. In addition, Zedd, Kahlan, and Richard are mostly separated. Their chemistry is one of the things I've enjoyed most about this series.
Finally, I've grown a bit weary of what seems like Goodkind's BDSM fantasies constantly woven into the story.

It was a good forward moving installment of the series. The recap throughout sometimes became a little much. There was some parts that were very repetitive. I found some parts to be overly descriptive or detailed and seemed to have no real point in the story to have it be that way other than the author wanting to fill space.
This one started out in one PoV, in a small part of the world before splitting off to other parts or other PoVs which made it easy to get back into the story and follow along. At times things became thought provoking for the reader in the world build and the choices not only the main characters or side characters had to make but what people of this world had to make. Though sometimes when the decisions were being made it became almost preachy to read their thoughts or dialogue.
At this point the characters still do some stupid things and don't pay enough attention to warnings given to them multiple times. Yet, in they always seem to make things work eventually. That seems to be the same with every book so far. It has been the thing that sometimes makes me have to put the book down for a minute while I roll my eyes at it, but it isn't completely bothersome to me either.
