I’m little lost on the plot here folks. Obviously we haven’t got to the nitty gritty bits yet. But Blue is a tough girl, bringing up her little sister Scarlett while her mum is MIA and dodging the unhelpful male role model ie her sperm donor. While it’s clear Golden boy West has a secret the tension between these two leads to a slow burn. It’s missing some punch, where’s the drama and action?

I’m slightly on the fence here!
I enjoy a bully romance, most of the time. I wasn’t sure I’d like this at first but it pulled me in and I couldn’t put it down.I’m having a love/hate relationship with West. He’s a typical bully in terms of enemies to lovers bully romances but I haven’t decided if I like him yet.
I’m torn as to whether I love it or hate it lol. I knew it was a series and would end on a cliffhanger but it would’ve been nice to have at least one question answered. Certain things just don’t make sense yet from Hunter’s vague warning, Vin lying for God knows what reason, and West.s secret, there’s just so much going on at once. I get it, we need to read the next two books, but give me something! I’m enjoying the read so far though.

Awful. Gang shit? wants to ruin her life for a pic?
What did I just read?!? Holy...shit.(reminder to myself to remove that tidbit for Amazon)But holy smokes y'all, buckle up.The ups and downs, and twist and turns makes most roller coasters look tame. There are so many questions, and yes..it's a cliff hanger, not it is not RH. That's all I saying about the plot. This is straight bully at it's finest. I just wish I had the right words to put forth for my review, cause right now, other than holy shit...I got nothing.
The charcters, yes lets talk characters, we have Blue, and West. They are from opposites sides of the city, and the way people behave you would think they are from different countries. Simply put, West is a giant dbag. I mean, really, a giant one. Blue seems to lose her self respect as the book goes on. That's what dealing with bullies does to someone. I cannot wait for the next book, hopefully there are answers, cause I need them.

So this book was OK. It wasn’t my favorite at the beginning but as the chapters progressed I fell in love with the characters more and more. I’m not sure if it’s the authors writing style or the storyline that had me questioning if I was going to finish it at first but by the end I couldn’t put it down!
The Golden Boys by Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne is a dark high school bully romance. This is the first book in the Kings of Cypress Prep series.
The book does come with a warning/caution "The Golden Boys are all smokin’ hot, but there’s only one guy for Blue Riley, which means this romance isn’t a reverse harem. Also, full disclosure, this saga does contain strong bully themes. So, if you’re not into romances where hate turns into love (well … eventually), and if you don’t like your heroes of the unapologetically alpha variety, this might not be the book for you. There is no rape or dubious consent whatsoever. However, due to adult themes and sexual situations, this one’s only for the 18+ crowd."
This is the first book of Rachel and Nikki's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. I was hooked from the very beginning. I loved that the book kept me on my toes. The back and forth between Blue and West is so hot and twisted!
The book does end on a cliffhanger but that wasn't much of a surprise since its the first book in the series. I can't wait for the next book in the series to be announced so I can get more of Blue and West...and well of course Dane and Sterling.
I would highly recommend this book if you like bully romances.

The Golden Boys by Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne is a dark high school bully romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Neill Thorne, Lessa Lamb, and Sarah Puckett.

The narration was PERFECT! Sarah's voice was perfect for Pandora. It was exactly how I pictured the character when I had read the book. Lessa did an amazing job bringing Blue to life. I loved how Neill brought all the golden boys to life with different tones/voices.
I would highly recommend this book if you like bully romances, dark romances, or contemporary romances. This is a MUST READ series!

I started reading this series and thought “well… here we go again.” It started out like 60 other books I’ve read. I almost quit at 12% but I have a 50% rule for myself. I’m so glad I stayed! I devoured books 1-3. I love the mystery, the plot, the characters. I even hated Pandora for a while and didn’t think that character should be involved, but my opinion on that also died down. I’m excited to read the next three!
