quite repetitive but really factual and relevant information that has made my day to day life more positive. Would love a more condensed version to help me when I forget what could be causing my blues!
A pretty phenomenal book, a must-read for anyone directly or in-directly exposed to antidepressants.

4.5 stars. Some overenthusiasm, but overall a great read, and very thought provoking, although some things that have always been obvious to me (depression is predominantly caused by life events) apparently aren't obvious to medical professionals.

Such a good deep dive into depression!
I think it does a good job of gently dismantling the common narrative of "Depression is just a biological problem, take pills!", when it is much more complicated than that.
It also gave me permission to validate my own feelings of depression.

A well-written book with lots of interesting points that I'll be thinking about for a long time.
BUT! Please remember the author is a journalist, not a doctor, so take this with a pinch of salt as well.
