A whimsical, wholesome story with some charming world building, as well as a few cheesy elements that are easily forgive-able because of the irresistibly endearing protagonists (especially Wendell the ghost).

This was so cute and fun! Wendell is adorable and I loved the subtlety in the illustrations to point to the issues with the father. The colour pallate was perfect and the plot moved along quickly. 
The conversations around death were considered and sensitive, perfectly appropriate for reading to kids. 
I loved the ending and can't wait to grab the sequel.
