Read this for a book group, and probably would not have picked it up otherwise. Glad I did. Probably will try another of Shafak's books--this is imaginative and insightful, and surprisingly humerous.

This is a quirky and interesting read about relationships, societal pressures, love and support. I enjoyed the oscillating narrative that weaved past and present, supernatural and historical together seamlessly. At once light and heavy, I would definitely recommend it.
