it’s such a short book that took such a long time to read. the main character was SO unlikeable. tbh i dont think there was a single person that wasn’t incredibly frustrating and insufferable. it takes me out of a book immediately already. the main character especially though, i was rooting for him to die and let us free but also didnt want the MIL to win either. literally no one i could feel excited or sorry for. the story was short yet incredibly repetitive in a way that’s just boring instead of a means to a narrative. it had a few good moments that got a 0.5 more but they were verrrryy few and in between. everything was predictable. idk what to take away from this.
