I enjoyed this book but not as much as I hoped to!
I wouldn't say it was bad, but it also wasn't as engaging and exciting as I thought it would be. I quite liked learning about Fable and her world, but at times it was hard to follow the world building, and I don't think it's fair to market this a romance, even if it is YA, when really... it's not? I mean don't get me wrong, I ship her and West but idk maybe it's cause it's YA but I found it lacking.
Overall, I was just expecting more especially for all the hype it gets. I usually am so engaged/rooting for characters in fantasy novels and I just felt very indifferent about this book. Worth a read but nothing spectacular in my opinion.

My book club chose this for Int. Speak Like A Pirate Day and it was definitely allllll pirates!
I liked probably 80% of this book! I think parts of it were really slow and there was too little of the love interest for my liking. But I did enjoy and will definitely read book 2!
