Good things:
fast paced
well rounded characters
beautiful and descriptive setting
the mystery of the Lark/what happened
Not so good things:
the lack of direction in the first half
escalation of relationship between love interest and MC (why did they have to move so fast? you barely know each other, lets slow down!)

I really enjoyed this book and I sincerely loved the whole thing. The whole world was so fun to read about and it kept me on the edge of my toes!! I really cannot wait to read the next book and continue the adventure in the Narrows with Fable and the crew

Twist at the end and the underwater kiss were my favorite parts. It definitely is YA, I'm most intrigued by Saint's character, will have to read his book, and I want more time with the found family part. I do get annoyed with the overly-happy-moment-turned-to-someone-being-taken trope though, saw it coming from a mile away
It was alright. Nice variety of characters and a good background story for listening when your focus is on other things. It's pretty slow, but the descriptions and setting are lovely. I don't particularly buy the romance, seemed a bit contrived to me, but otherwise not a bad read or listen if you want something sedate and visually stimulating.

Fable-3.5⭐️-I really liked the atmosphere and the lore of this book, it was a fast read and I’m going to be reading the second one. However, the characters felt really one note, there was not a lot of depth to them which I’m hoping gets explored in the second book. Also I realize this is YA but Fable is an idiot. She has no self preservation skills. She is terrible at bartering and for all her “rules” she had drilled into her to not expose the things she cares about she does it in like every chapter. The romance felt forced, like it was the last 3 chapters and they hadn’t really gotten close and the author was just like oh no, guess it’s time for them to just get together! No deep conversations, no quality time. Nothing of substance, just convenience.

I'm not sure if I found the romance believable, but it was a nice and adventurous read nevertheless. The book made me hate and love characters and feel with them. I think that's always a great achievement.
this was just so unoriginal and boring, like i dont really dislike many aspects of it, it just was so bland
