WHATTT THAT ENDING IS CRAZYYY
This book was soooo good. I read it so fast I couldn’t believe how much of an easy but fun read this was.
There’s not much to say other than I love Fable and West and his crew and can’t wait to read Namesake next.

3.5

I found Fable to be an enjoyable read, but I have mixed feelings about this book.
First of all, I got interested in this book because I kept seeing it everywhere and everyone seemed to absolutely love it. And honestly the actual premise of the book sounded super interesting to me. But I kept hesitating because I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it or not.
And I have to say, when I read the first two chapters, I was not convinced at all. My mind kept drifting away from the book because the descriptions were a little bit too long for me. So I actually stopped reading it for two days, thinking I might DNF it all together.
But then I was actually intrigued because I wanted to see what people were seeing in this book. So I pushed through and it definitely became better than I originally thought it would be.
The story is actually quite good, the plot was enough to keep me intrigued and even surprised me in some aspects. And I actually loved the romance between Fable and West. It is definitely on the slow side of things, but I think it suited the story and the universe of the book.
The only thing that bothered me was the sailing vocabulary. I guess it made the book more real, but I really struggled to understand what the characters were saying when using those specific words. So, I just sort of imagined their actions based on the little knowledge that I have of the sea and actual boat sailing.
But then I adore books that happen on boats, and I thing Adrienne Young really captured that feeling, and every diving scene was just amazing and super well done.
That being said, the ending was pretty predictable in my opinion and maybe a little abrupt, but I am still super intrigued and can’t wait for the second book.
