What?! You suspect I got this book through ILL and then immediately read it on my lunch break?! Whatever gives you that idea??

Also. Bruno. No. Come back.

This collection of issues has a Minority Report style plot, with Kamala learning the pros and cons of predictive justice. While Captain Marvel is at the helm of the predictive justice project, she's also constantly gone, taking care of other intergalactic emergencies. It's up to Ms Marvel to be the "boots on the ground," and see if this process is actual justice or not. Can Ms Marvel stand up to her hero in the name of true justice?

Ms Marvel comics do such a good job of being super fun and light, while not being straight fluff. There is always substance to her stories, even though they have that Spiderman style humor as well. I enjoyed this one, but that's no surprise, since I felt the same about the others that came before it!

I had taken a break from reading Ms Marvel comics, when I knew the show was coming out. I wanted some of it to be a surprise and didn't want to have too many specific expectations.
But, now that I've watched the Disney+ show and and am looking forward to the new movie coming out this year, I thought it was time to return to them.

I'm so glad I did!

Ms Marvel is one of these series that, with each volume, it gets significantly better. Really. It's spectacular. It shows realistic character development. This volume is sad, it's heartbreaking. We dive more into the side characters, we see family history and the flee from india to pakistan and then to the us (still crying), it shows what happens when the picture perfect image of your idols is slowly shattered. Seriously, I'm sad. The book ends on an optimistic note, but throughout its course, it's still extremely devastating

"You're smarter than this Kamala." This is exactly how I felt about her getting involved in the project with Ulysses. It seemed to go against what we already knew about her. It causes an accident with Bruno, though Bruno's accident was still something he chose to do. The Ulysses didn't make the accident happen, he chose to engage in a poorly planned rescue mission.

The last part of this book saved it from a 2 star rating where we see Kamala taking time to think, learn about herself, and grow.

"I think I've reached the point where there is stuff in my life that can't be fixed with a gyro and fries."

Have I mentioned how much I love Ms. Marvel? Because oh how I adore these comics.

Nothing making me happier than diving into Kamala Khan’s story and I think the last issue in this volume might be one of my favourites yet. I absolutely loved the back story into the Khan’s family history and the panels set in Pakistan were utterly wonderful.

I truly can’t get enough of this series. It’s utterly wonderful.

I am really enjoying these later volumes. The personal conflicts with being a superhero and a normal teenager catch up with Kamala in this one.
