Perfect

I’ve read a lot of CK’s books recently, so I’m absolutely a fan of the author, so loving this book wasn’t a surprise.
What I loved about this book is the flawed nature of the characters. The lack of communication that everyone who has ever been in a relationship has encountered- it’s reality. It’s messy, but it’s life. I hate books that paint one side as perfect and the other as flawed, because that’s not real- and this book is!
I also love related saga series, and a family saga is just great.

Read for the Tarot Readathon (July 10-24, 2021).

I read all the books out from Bailey Brothers, which connects to this series as well. And based from reading this book, I have to say I like that series better. I plan to continue on with this series as well, so we'll see how the rest of the books will fare out.

It's very rare for me to appreciate second-chance romance and this was okay. It wasn't over the top dramatic and though it was cliché, it was simple. It's not as romantic as that of the Bailey Brothers series though.

I love that this series is set in a winery. I've always appreciated wine and have had a fascination with vineyards.

This may not be an exceptional book but it's a good start to a series.

there was a brief conversation in the book that wasn’t explicitly homophobic, but seemed to be headed that way and I’m not sure what purpose it solved. I also didn’t really connect to Roland or Zoe, but I really still like Claire Kingsley’s style of writing and seeing baby grace was really fun !

Super enjoyable second chance romance and a great lesson in "there's no place like home." Roland has been working San Francisco. Work. Work. Work. He has avoided going home for more than a year but one call has him heading to his family's winery in Washington.

Get ready for awkward moments. Roland's ex-wife works for the family winery. How is he supposed to come home and save the winery while protecting his heart. Tensions rise and truths unfold. I can't wait to read more in the series to see how Roland deals with the mess he is trying to clear up.
