This is a wonderful, fast paced audiobook (4 hours) that I listened to while crocheting. The characters were precious, the hopeful ending made me happy, and it's an easy recommendation for anyone looking to dip into scifi.

I'm not the biggest fan of medusas or these type of animals but it was interesting nonetheless. Sometimes it was a bit repetitive.

I knew this novella had won many awards and so I guess I was expecting more from it. It was fine. The ending felt rushed and too many things got resolved by her just knowing what to do and then people agreeing, rather than the resolution really feeling earned
