This is maybe the first full book I've read in years, even if it is a short one at that with only 75ish pages. That being said, I think it might have helped with rekindling a love for reading
Animal Farm feels like a timeless novella, where despite being written nearly a century ago, many of it's teachings still hold true. It's very clearly an allegory to real life and doesn't hide away from this, and I think it serves as a great example of how quickly corruption can run wild without the proper checks and safeguards, alongwith with a general public that is uneducated, blind or apathetic around politics. Obviously deeply political, but easy enough to grasp and should be a required reading for everyone.
It's definitely one of those stories where you can predict what is going to happen next and desperately hope that it doesn't, only to be correct in your unfortunate guess.

George Orwell could work on his subtlety; jk don't kill me. Uhm, this was interesting and I did think the themes were super important, should be read in all high schools imho. My feelings on Orwell are very sour but I am very good at separating art from the artist so it didn't really impact how I read this. I thought the narrator was really goofy, he had every animal w a fully diff accent and then squealer was just randomly Donald Trump. Anyways, good, this would've went crazy back in the day.
