This is just a really fun read!

I won this book from a Goodreads First Reads giveaway. And what an excellent prize.

So this series is basically the Princess Diaries but about a model. And I am not gonna lie, I really enjoy this series. Harriett is so geeky, and so likable. Much more likable than Mia from Princess Diaries.

I enjoy all the random facts that Harriet slips into her commentary. Her parents are entertaining and supportive. And I love watching her flounder around the world of high fashion. This is just a fun series.

My only slight issue with the series is the character of Toby, Harriet's stalker. Clearly, it is meant humorously, but I am not completely certain that the idea of stalkers should be treated as such, and especially in a novel aimed at young women. It seems to make light of an actual issue some women deal with. It struck me that the ending of this book indicated Toby's character might be moving away from his emphasis on stalking in the later books. I will definitely be reading book 3 at some point.

Fantastic book. I totally recommend it.

This was another one of Holly's easy and adorable romance reads. The characters were super funny and had all the flaws of a teenage romance. I loved the whole book and she did not disappoint.

Loved it sooo much! I loved Harriet even more than I loved her in the previous book ( it's than even possible???). I loved every new character in the book they were so idk, amazing!.

Harriet Manners knows that being a model does not automatically make your life easier. She still has to juggle school, bullies, her stalker, breaking up with the handsome supermodel, Nick, friend challenges, and getting along with other models. When she goes to Japan for the summer to be the star of a new fashion line, nothing seems to be going right for her. Nick is dating one of her roommates, none of her friends or family are answering her phone calls, she accidentally keeps doing things that are culturally offensive, and it looks like someone might just hate her enough to be sabotaging her modeling career. With the help of friends old and new, Harriet is able to get to the bottom of the sabotage and heal her broken heart.

As usual, Harriet is brilliant and clueless at the same time. She studies physics during modeling shoots, but has no idea how to talk to boys or sometimes interact with people in general. Her inner dialogue is laugh-out-loud worthy, and her mishaps make her feel relatable to the intended audience. She has a unique voice and continues to have wonderful relationships with both family and friends, but the amount of misunderstandings in the book might annoy some readers. Like the first book, it is not a serious book by any means, but it’s full of giggles, embarrassing moments, and adventure that will make fans of the first book thrilled to read more about Harriet.

this was an excellent sequel in my opinion
i thought i had read the book before but now i truly doubt myself
i could not remember whole subplots and twists

harriet is a very likeable character but proves to be an unreliable narrator of events time and time again

i'm reading this and the princess diaries in hopes of finishing my goodreads goal
wish me luck

Misschien wat veel sterren, maar vond het gewoon een leuk boek. Om bij te ontspannen en soms was te gniffelen.

I liked this sequel, though my goodwill is wearing thin when it comes to the amount of tending Harriet needs. I would love to see her become less naive in the next book.

I can't stop with this series but now I have to wait until the 26th to buy the third one and I am ridiculously impatient.
