Still adorable! I think I'm going to add this series to the fun chick lit that I read when I'm kind of sad (for the record, pretty much everything on that list is by Meg Cabot and Sophie Kinsella, queens of chick lit). Its kind of brainless, but still has a lot of heart - Harriet's friendships and experiences with her family ring true. The model stuff is silly, but could be used to teach kids about friendships and bullying. I liked it! 3 stars.

Chronique sur Sous ma Couverture

- It was funny
- Even if sometimes, the situations are ridiculous
- But Harriet didn't grow up in this book.
- She doesn't ask questions...
- ... and that made me want to hit myself with a pole.
- But I still spent a good time.

It was pretty good, but the ending fell flat. The main character only had things happen to her and didn't even have a chance to try and make things happen.

I'm so not the target market for these (anymore) but they're such good fun. I remember when I was an early teen reading a series of books about models in the US (I think they were branded Ford Models ones) which I really liked - and this taps straight back into that vein.

Harriet as a character is a brilliant mix of book smarts and street naivety - which really works for the reader - you can see what she can't. The supporting characters are also great - Wilbur (with a bur not an iam) is a genius create and Yuka is a great not-a-baddie-really.

I have two more of these waiting to be read.

WOW. didn't expect that twist at the end! I absolutely loved it. Cannot wait till the next book :)

Another reread. Amazing as ever. I absolutely love reading about everything Harriet gets up to and her relationship with Nick is my favourite. And even though I don't normally like miscommunication, I really liked it in this book. Can't wait to read the rest of the series now that I've finally bought them.
