More plot points in this one. I like the adventure style format.
Jacob Portman and his peculiar friends, and now Noor, the peculiar Jacob and H saved from an unknown group that wants her, have found evidence that the remaining wights are trying the bring back their leader, Caul. There is a prophecy they find that tells of an apocalypse. Additionally, they find a "recipe" that the wights have stolen to bring back Caul from the collapsed loop. This is the fifth novel of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and is also the most recent. I absolutely recommend the entire series.
Personal opinion and less of a review: this had so many aspects that should’ve felt new and fun and interesting, but instead of gripping my attention, I started to lose focus because of how much it was trying to do at once. Maybe my least favorite of the series so far.
I like the new plot and Noor, and I enjoyed this!
The fact that the time I read the books in the series were spread far apart, I cannot remember most of what happened and I had to take time remembering the previous book. Overall, it was still good.

I love this series so much and I loved this book! It seemed like more a filler book to me, but I think it'll be a great transition to the final book.
We still got the same sense of adventure we got in the other books. I love being along for the ride on Jacob and friends' peculiar journies. We had the same characters we know and love, with the addition of new characters (and the re-emergence of an old one!). Although I do wish Addison the dog was in the book because he's my favorite, but I loved that the ymbrynes were more prevalent in this one.
If you love the series, you'll love this book. Even if you think it's lacking some elements, I believe it's intentional that this one is like that so the last book hits even harder!
